Mental Health Therapist
Contract position
The Firefly Collaborative is growing! That means we would like to add a few awesome therapists to our practice.
We are committed to providing compassionate, knowledge-based mental health services to women and children.
Are you ready for more flexibility with your calendar? Are you ready for less paperwork? Are you ready to make money commensurate to your degree?
The Good Stuff:
  • No productivity requirement! Because you get paid for direct contact hours, you are the sole person responsible for your financial success. Want to make more money? Schedule more direct contact hours. Want to have more personal free time? Schedule less direct contact hours.
  • Competitive Pay! You have the opportunity to work up to making 70% of your reimbursement!
  • The hours are pretty flexible. While the office is not available every day, you will get to make your own hours the days the office is available.
  • We’re not big on micromanaging. You have a higher education degree. The state has determined you are fit to provide mental health treatment to others. Unless an issue arises, you won’t feel us breathing down your neck (especially right now because of masks) to get the job done.
  • Having said that, we are helpful! If you need help with anything, we will do what we can to support you.
  • We provide the EHR, secure e-mail, telehealth platform, billing support, and phone support, giving you time to focus on what you do best – providing mental health treatment.
  • You have the opportunity to do more than clinical work (and get paid)! If you have a strength that can benefit the practice in other ways besides direct counseling, show us what ya got!
The Requirements
  • You must be at least a master’s level clinician with a current Ohio license (LP(C)C, L(I)SW, PhD, PsyD, etc.).
The Preferences
  • Experience in a community or hospital mental health setting is preferred.
  •  We are hoping the person who fills this position will be able to schedule a minimum of 5 direct contact hours each week for the majority of the year. We are open to this person scheduling up to 20 hours.
The Job Duties
  • Provide excellent care to women and/or children! This includes keeping up with current best practices.
  • The rest of the duties are pretty much the same as anywhere else:
    • Complete diagnostic assessments/evaluations with appropriate & timely documentation, offer recommendations for treatment, provide clinical treatment, develop individual service plans, and create appropriate and timely progress notes and documentation.
Extras
  • You really can take this job and run with it! While you will need to keep up with documentation, you won’t be bogged down with it as is often the case in the non-profit sector, which means you will have more free time!
  • While our name has been out there for several years and we get referral calls throughout the week, you are encouraged to help with your own referrals.
  • We will help with insurance credentialing if you choose to accept insurance (not a requirement!).
  • We support creativity! If you just want to do therapy because that's your thing, okay! If you like doing individual therapy but also like running groups, or facilitating trainings, or whatever, let us know so we can help you do what energizes you (and get paid in the process)!
How to Apply
We think this position could be a great fit for someone wanting to branch out into private practice in any capacity.

So, here’s the first line of the litmus test for our search of the right clinician: When you apply for this position, you must include “This job seems like a fit” in the subject line of your email in order to be considered. If you can follow the first instruction, we know you are paying attention.

Send your resume (please include your license number) to erica@thefireflyco.org along with a description of the type of work you like to do. If you have a non-clinical strength that could benefit the practice, we’d love to hear about that, too! If writing is not your thing, feel free to send a video describing the things just listed.

Looking forward to meeting you!
